30% increase in saffron production in Izeh city
The director of Izeh Agricultural Jihad said: the harvest of saffron has started and it is predicted that 500 grams will be harvested from one hectare.
Iraj Almasi stated: Saffron harvest will continue until the second half of December and this product has increased by 30% compared to last year.
Regarding the harvest of other crops, he said: the pomegranate harvest has been completed from 400 hectares of lands in Shivand village and about 600 tons of pomegranates have been harvested; Also, the rice harvest is coming to an end and 30% of the rice production will be consumed by the rice farmers and the rest will be sent to the market.
The director of Izeh Agricultural Jihad added: the amount of recent rains in this city is 61.7 mm and this amount is very good and it has prepared agricultural lands for autumn cultivation.
Almasi stated: One thousand hectares of Izeh lands have been prepared for autumn crops and the main crops planned for autumn crops include wheat, barley, canola and lentils.
