60% reduction of saffron harvest from Bajestan lands
The director of Bajestan Agricultural Jihad announced a sharp decrease in saffron harvest from 2283 hectares of the city’s lands.
Seyed Mohsen Fakhr Kazemi stated: As it was predicted at the beginning of this year, there will be a decrease in the production of this product, we faced a 60% decrease in the production of this product.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Bajestan city added: the main reason for the decrease in yield was the drop in temperature in the last months of last year.
He said that currently three saffron packaging workshops are active in Bajestan, noting that due to the medicinal properties of this product, the city’s agricultural jihad is ready to cooperate with those who intend to invest in the processing of this product.
