667 hectares of agriculture in Sarbisheh province under saffron cultivation
Maryam Javadi Bighay, Director of Agriculture in Sarbisheh said: Currently, 667 hectares of cultivated land are under cultivation of saffron.
Maryam Javadi Baghi said: this year, it is expected that more than 2.3 tons of saffron worth 102 billion rials will be taken in this city.
He said: “The product of saffron is one of the products that is prone to being planted in the region due to the limited resources of the region and the need for low water requirements.
Director of Agricultural Jihad Sarbish added: “The management of agricultural jihad in Sarbisheh province has been holding training classes, the construction of patterned farms, providing capital needed for working capital, and co-operation and guidance in providing high-quality onions along with the exploiters of this field.
Javadi Baghi noted: At the present time, due to the season of harvesting this product, to prevent the price drop and to organize the domestic sales process and export the saffron, Saffron supportive support has been provided by the rural cooperative organization of the province and the Shahrastani subsidiary units.
