In this regard, Hossein Zeinali, the executor of the Medicinal Plants Project of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture: The process of saffron export has not decreased since last year; It has also increased by one to two percent. From today onwards, the export of this product will be more intense, because both the government and the private sector have a special view on this product.

He continued: Now, if you ask the customs and the commercial department of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture and Silence; Until November, saffron exports have increased by one to two percent.

Zeinli added: In July of this year, compared to July of last year, the amount of saffron exports was reduced by 20% in a short period, and the chairman of the National Saffron Council meant the reduction of exports related to this period.

Our forecast for the coming months is that the purchase price of saffron from farmers will increase significantly, and in this regard, we are trying to increase the purchase price of this product from farmers, said the executor of the Medicinal Plants Project of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture.

He said that 30% of saffron flowers remain on the ground due to late harvest and lack of labor, which causes severe damage to the country, he continued: This year, three types of machines for mechanized harvesting of saffron flowers have been built. One of them will be unveiled next week, another case has been unveiled in the past, and another type of these three devices is waiting for the knowledge-based company to buy this device by the private sector. Each of these three devices has the ability to harvest one hectare of saffron flowers a day.

Zeinli added: Until next year, the harvest of stigmas from saffron flowers will be mechanized, in which case both the costs of saffron production will be drastically reduced and the farmers will not be compensated for not harvesting saffron flowers due to labor shortages.

In the end, he said that saffron cultivation is fully mechanized, he said: now 30 tons of saffron is exported abroad per month.
