Competition in the international saffron market becomes uncontrollable

According to the CEO of the Saffron Development Fund, not only Afghanistan but also 30 countries in the world have turned to saffron production and in the coming years we will face an uncontrollable international competition.

Ali Shariati, Moghaddam, stated that the brand can be examined in two areas: One is the impact of the brand on exports that some companies due to their constant presence and full familiarity with the global market were able to find their place and try to improve more every day.

He continued: If we want to have continuous exports, we must work in the field of branding, but unfortunately fewer production units have addressed this issue.

Shariati Moghaddam stated: Today, when the country is facing many economic problems, including a recession in the market, if we consider the development of non-oil exports based on the brand and incentive issues, as well as provide similar conditions for foreign competitors for Iranian producers, we can leave. Bring out the recession, develop services and create added value for the country.

The CEO of Saffron Development Fund, noting that today consumers expect high quality goods, said: Iranian society has a high level of expectation and seeks to compare Iranian goods with similar foreign goods, and we have been able to meet this customer need in some areas, such as food.

He continued: Good dairy products are produced and exported in the country, which is under high quality control, but due to high financial costs such as insurance, taxes and expensive banking facilities, a competitive environment has been taken from them and they are hardly still exporters.

He reminded: Today, goods are produced in the country that are similar to European goods and have fully complied with the necessary standards, but unfortunately, the lack of a suitable and sufficient platform has deprived them of the possibility of competitiveness.

Shariati-Moghaddam also pointed out that paying attention to branding protects goods from misuse, said: Today, many goods have faced the problem of abusing their brand by not paying attention to the brand, of course, the officials of the judiciary and entrepreneurship to deal with this Subject entered.

The CEO of the Saffron Development Fund continued: For example, in the matter of saffron, not only Afghanistan but also 30 countries in the world have turned to saffron production, and in the coming years we will face an uncontrollable international competition.

He added: If from today we are looking for technology upgrades, medium-term marketing plans and also strengthening brands, we can enter the competition with these countries and continue to take over the saffron market, otherwise we will definitely find it difficult to compete.

Shariati-Moghaddam emphasized that according to the measures taken, but there is still work to be done to compete with foreign goods, adding that several conferences in this field were held across the country to raise awareness of the importance of the brand and its impact on international markets. Despite the initial noise, they could not work and it was the only Khorasan Industrial Managers Association that was able to hold the most practical conference in a row by inviting top professors.

He added: The establishment of a permanent secretariat is one of the strengths of the Khorasan Association of Industrial Managers, which helps to create added value by paying attention to the brand and developing employment.
