recipe for cooking Fosanjan with duck and saffron

ingredients :
- Salt and pepper = as needed
- Turmeric = 1 teaspoon
- Duck = 1 piece (1.5 kg)
- Liquid oil = 3 soupspons
- Chopped onion medium = 1 pcs
- Ground walnuts = 400 g
- Pomegranate = 1 cup
- Saffron mixed with hot water = 2 soupspons
Instruction :
Mix salt, pepper and turmeric and rub it into the belly and around the duck. Then pour the oil in a suitable pan and put it on the stove and fry the duck in it. Now add onion and enough water to it and let the duck cook.
Then take the duck out of the pan and put the walnuts in the same pan and cook over low heat for about an hour. Now add the pomegranate paste and cook the fesnjan for another 45 minutes.
Now add the saffron, put the duck in the stew and cook it for another 30 minutes until the fennel is gone. Then put the duck in a suitable dish and pour the fesnjan on it and eat it with chelo.
Note 1: In northern Iran, fosanjan is often prepared with duck. Therefore, if you use duck or duck, first clean and wash it and dry it with a kitchen paper towel. Then cook the duck or duck on the heat of the oven to make sure there are no feathers or fluff left on it!
Tip 2: If you wish, you can add 2 soups of sugar at the end of cooking Fosanjan.
