Saffron harvest was completed on 30 hectares of land from Abadeh farms
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Abadeh city said: saffron harvest from 30 hectares of farms in this city continued until mid-December.
Mehdi Amini, pointing out that the average yield of saffron in Abadeh city is five kilograms, clarified: more than 150 kilograms of saffron were harvested from cultivated lands.
The official said: Saffron farms in Abadeh city have temporarily created employment for more than 150 people, and with the development of this cultivation, we can hope to create employment for new people.
He said that the production of low-water and valuable products is one of the programs of Jihad Keshavarzi, adding: holding training classes on saffron cultivation and regular monitoring of farms by experts to recommend the principles of proper nutrition of farms, timely control of weeds and Monitoring the process of transporting onions is one of the most important measures of agricultural jihad to encourage saffron farmers.
Amini emphasized that saffron onion has a high flowering ability for up to seven years after planting, and said: We hope to see an increase in the area under cultivation of this product in Abadeh city every year with the ongoing programs.
