Saffron harvest began in 75 hectares of farms in Neyriz city
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi of Neyriz city announced the beginning of saffron harvest in this city and said: it is predicted that 450 kg of saffron will be harvested from 75 hectares this year, which is a 10% increase compared to last year.
Alireza Basiri, pointing out that the saffron harvest has started on November 7 and continues for 45 days, clarified: during this period, the field of creating more than 6,000 temporary job opportunities will be provided in the city.
According to him; Most of the saffron in Neyriz city is produced in Poshtkuh (Meshkan and Dehchah).
Basiri also avoided the need to produce certified products and said: The first license for the use of the Persian saffron pollutants limit mark in Neyriz was issued for Ahmad Khosropour Saffron Farm, a provincial sample work of five hectares.
