More attention of farmers to saffron in Rafsanjan
According to Fars news agency Rafsanjan, the city is known as the city of green gold, and in the years of the year, the benefactors have built up the city with their revenues and its infrastructure has been created from the self-sufficiency of pistachio harvest.
But about two decades ago, Rafsanjan has suffered a drought and according to experts, the country is the most critical plain of the country, whose renown has dented its ears.
A pistachio product from thousands of kilograms per hectare has hit a single drought as a result of this drought and has created a lot of economic problems for farmers and all the people of this city, which is the main source of their income through agriculture.
However, agricultural Jihad experts did not get unemployed and came to the aid of farmers to change the pattern of crop, which would need less water and match the water resources of the city to help with pistachios to get out of single-breeding.
How many years ago, the cultivation of saffron in the city began and its construction in the village of Raviz, which is a beautiful mountainous climate, places like Khannaman, the source and the judges are aptly susceptible to cultivating saffron.
Granting Bank Facility for Saffron, Zarrush and Gol Mohammadi
Governor of Rafsanjan today, together with the Director of Agriculture Jihad, traveled to Khānaman village to visit the Saffron farm Hossein Mohammadi and see the harvest.
Hamid Molanauri, on the sidelines of the visit, said in an interview with the Persian correspondent, “Saffron is one of the alternative crops that works well in Rafsanjan.
He said air, soil and geographical location in areas such as Khamaman, Raviz, referees and sources of these areas are susceptible to cultivating saffron and yielding good yields.
Governor of Rafsanjan continued: “Today we saw a good crop in the saffron farm, and it is expected that about 10 kg of the farm will be harvested, which is rial for economic reasons.”
“Given the fact that the farm is under development, it can harvest more crops in the coming years, and in addition to creating jobs, it will help the region’s economic prosperity,” Melanori said.
He added: “We saw the optimal water use and management in this field, and in addition to cultivating saffron, some fruits, including almonds, and irrigated with drip irrigation, give this farmer a good income.
Melanori continued, pointing out that saffron is a low-yielding product, said: It is recommended that in areas susceptible to this crop for the optimal use of available water and support agriculture Jihad also provide good facilities to farmers.
He also noted the susceptibility of the region to cultivating the flowers of Mohammadi and Barberry, as well as the granting of bank facilities for the cultivation of these products, and said: “Agricultural Jihad’s support includes farmers, too.”
Harvest 40 kg of saffron from Rafsanjan farms
Hossein Rezai, Director of Agricultural Jihad in Rafsanjan, said in a conversation with the Persian correspondent: The farm is visited by 2.5 hectares and last year 4.5 kg of saffron was harvested.
He pointed out that the harvest begins on November 15th and lasts until December 6, saying: “This year the farmer is expected to harvest about 10kg of crops this year,” he said.
Rezaei said: “We also anticipate that 40kg of saffron will be taken in Rafsanjan this year.
He added that 20 hectares of farms in this city, mainly in the Raviz and Khonaman areas, are dedicated to cultivating saffron.
Rezaei added: “In Saakashvagh, in the northern and western suburbs, saffron has been cultivated experimentally, which if developed, we will develop it.”
