According to the governor of Bardaskan city, fortunately, all saffron farmers in this city are completely satisfied with the implementation of tanker water supply to their saffron fields.

Hamid Hajinejad, director of Jihad-e-Keshavarzi in Bardaskan, continued the visit: Due to the drought crisis and its severity this year and the drying of most canals in the foothills of Bardaskan, the only source of income for the people of this area was saffron. This area has been irrigated and so far more than 80% of the saffron fields that were thirsty for water have been irrigated and the rest will be irrigated in the next 10 days.

He added: out of 630 hectares of saffron farms in the foothills of Bardaskan, 400 hectares were in serious danger of dehydration, which fortunately, were revived with the implementation of this project and made the people of the foothills happy.

He pointed out that the agricultural jihad of Bardaskan city has implemented this project as a debt, and emphasized on allocating water supply credits by tanker to saffron farms in the city as soon as possible.

Hajinejad added: The implementation of this project has made the people of the foothills of Bardaskan happy; Because saffron land with 250 thousand tomans of water supply cost up to 4 million tomans will harvest saffron products.

He announced the area under cultivation of saffron farms in Bardaskan city as 2650 hectares and said: saffron farms that have suffered from water shortage crisis are 15% of the total saffron farms in the city.

Hojjat-ul-Islam, the Muslim promoter, in charge of the representative office of the Supreme Leader in the agricultural jihad in Bardaskan, said in the continuation of this visit: the implementation of this project was a great help to the saffron farmers in the foothills of Bardaskan.

Referring to the naming of this year as the year of economic jihad, he said: With a jihadist move, the officials of the province and city implemented a water supply project to saffron farms in the Bardaskan mountain region, and fortunately, people are completely satisfied with the implementation of this project.

He said: Due to the drought situation in the region and the drying up of most aqueducts and the severe decline of water resources, and on the other hand, the only source of income for the people of the region was saffron, which irrigated saffron farms, these farms flourished and helped families.

Mojtaba Shakeri, the central district of Bardaskan, also said during the visit: Due to the drought crisis in the city and the reduction of water resources, especially in the foothills of Bardaskan, the implementation of a water supply project to saffron farms by tanker saved these farms from water shortage crisis. This product will be revived in the foothills of Bardaskan.

He stated: with the follow-ups done and with the efforts of Jihad Keshavarzi management of the city, this project was implemented and currently water supply to saffron farms is being carried out by 10 tankers and it is hoped that by October 20, all 400 hectares of saffron farms in Kuhpayeh Bardaskan region Water supply.
