Beginning of red gold harvest from Kashmir farms
The director of Kashmar Agricultural Jihad announced the beginning of saffron harvest in this Kashmir city.
Mohammad Swabi, stating that this crop is harvested on 5500 hectares of land in the central and Red Mountains, clarified: Due to the observance of technical principles and proper and timely fertilization, saffron harvest is expected to be better than last year.
He pointed out that the average harvest of saffron in the city is three kilograms, adding: Despite 5,200 hectares of fertile areas, about 15,600 kilograms of saffron are harvested.

Swabi reminded: issuing educational announcements of saffron processing, holding training classes and creating two health processing workshops with the cooperation of the National Saffron Council and providing fertilizer needed by farmers are the most important measures taken by the Jihad Agricultural Management to support farmers and producers of this product.
