Miandoab has 82,000 hectares of agricultural land, of which 12,610 hectares are orchards and the rest are agricultural lands; Apples and grapes are the main garden products and wheat, barley, sugar beet and alfalfa are the most important agricultural products of this city.

Saffron, which is known as red gold, in addition to its good profitability for farmers, can open other processing and complementary industries related to West Azerbaijan and on the other hand reduce the province’s agricultural dependence on water resources.

Cultivation of saffron as a new and unfamiliar product for the farmers of the province needs the support and guidance of experts in this field, and the authorities should identify the leading farmers and increase the field to expand the area of ??saffron cultivation.
