Beginning of saffron harvest from Golpayegan farms

The director of agricultural jihad of Golpayegan city announced the beginning of harvesting saffron from 10 hectares of fields under cultivation of this product in the city.
Haidar Ali Golmohammadi stated: with the beginning of harvesting saffron from 10 hectares of land under cultivation of this crop, it is predicted that 5 to 8 kg of saffron will be harvested from each hectare.
Golmohammadi further pointed to the beginning of bean harvest in the city and said: Different bean cultivars are being harvested from 200 hectares of land under cultivation of this crop and it is predicted that about 440 tons of beans will be harvested from the city’s farms.
He also referred to the cultivation of barley in the farms of Golpayegan city and added: barley cultivation in the farms of Golpayegan city is underway and the improved seeds have been provided to the applicants.
The director of agricultural jihad of Golpayegan city reminded: in the last crop year, about 4,800 hectares of the city’s lands were allocated for barley cultivation.
He said: Potato harvest has started from mid-October from the cultivated farms of this crop in Golpayegan city and it is predicted that about 7,200 tons of potato will be harvested from the cultivated area of ​​240 hectares of this crop.
Referring to the potato cultivars in Golpayegan, Golmohammadi stated: The potatoes cultivated are from Agria, Diamon, Nilva and Ramos cultivars.
