Chinese red gold rival of Iranian saffron

Mohammad Reza Ghodsi stated: If the comprehensive plan of saffron product is approved by the government, we will not have any worries about saffron product.
He pointed to the smuggling of saffron onions in the province and added: Although the military and law enforcement forces are actively involved in the smuggling of saffron onions, but in bulk, saffron onions are still smuggled across the Iranian border, which we hope will solve this problem.
Ghodsi pointed to the plans of this organization this year and continued: The policy of Khorasan Razavi Agricultural Jihad Organization this year is that gardeners move towards healthy products.
He added: Farmers have to move to modern agriculture because in addition to consuming less water, it is also economically viable.
Director of Horticulture of Khorasan Razavi Jihad Agricultural Organization pointed out: This year, the plan of healthy products will be implemented in 200 hectares of pistachio orchards and 100 hectares of pomegranate orchards, and this work is also being done in the saffron crop.
Ghodsi assessed the current price of saffron as favorable and said: Saffron product has almost stabilized at a fixed price and it is predicted that the minimum production of saffron in the province will decrease by 30% compared to the previous year, which is worrying.
He also informed about the implementation of the pistachio crop nutrition plan in the province and specified: considering that the pistachio crop is a valuable commodity, it should be worked on the nutrition of pistachio orchards in the province, in which the necessary credits have been provided.
Ghodsi pointed to the drought situation in the province and the sharp decline in underground resources and continued: According to meteorological statistics, during the last 100 years, only 10 years of wet season and another 90 years have been dry and we have no choice but to move to greenhouse crops and irrigation under pressure.
