Iran is considered one of the largest producers of saffron, which annually receives significant foreign exchange from the export of this precious product.
Iran is the largest and first exporter of saffron, which produces more than 90% of the world’s saffron.
In 1397, Iran exported saffron to 64 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Belgium, Afghanistan, Qatar, Vietnam, Sweden, Africa, Canada and other countries.
Accordingly, in the first ten months of 1397, up to 226 tons of saffron were exported to different countries of the world in packages and bulk ready for retail and shredded from Iran.
Saffron exports have had about 294 million 348 thousand 797 dollars for Iran.
Despite all this, by finding exporting countries, and increasing the production of this product in different parts of the country, we can make more efforts in the field of non-oil exports, and with widespread publicity, the demand for this precious product can increase in the world.
