Cultivation of red gold in the city of Galogah in Iran
Gholam Reza Ghanbari, Director of Agricultural Jihad in the city of Halogh, said that this year, two hectares of land in the upstream villages of the city went to saffron cultivation.
Gholamreza Ghanbari, referring to the fact that the time of cultivation of saffron from early August to September and the amount of onions needed per hectare, is 2,500 to 3,000 kilograms, adding that the product can be harvested from early November to early December.
Gholam Reza Ghanbari, Director of Agricultural Jihad in the city of Halogh, said that this year two hectares of agricultural land in the villages of Oward, Wazir, Niala and Aghrdar went under cultivation of saffron.
He did not mention the amount of product harvested in the 2 hectares.
