The head of Lande city agricultural jihad announced the cultivation of a test hectare of saffron for the first time in Lande city.
Mukhtar Mashhadi-Zadeh of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad region regarding saffron cultivation in Lande city stated: Lande Jihad Agricultural Organization for the first time has supported the cultivation of one hectare of saffron.
He added: If saffron is cultivated in Lande city, it will be somewhat effective in the city’s economy in terms of employment.
Mashhadizadeh stated: Saffron is one of the most important and valuable cultivable products that has a great impact on agricultural development and economic status of farmers.
The head of the agricultural jihad in Lande city pointed out: Saffron is a low-water product that consumes very little water, and if this valuable product is responsive in Lande city, it will have a good economic income.
He pointed out: This year, we had a hectare of saffron cultivation on a trial basis, and I hope this valuable product will grow in this city.
Mashhadi-Zadeh reminded: Saffron is one of the products that needs water once or twice a year, and if it grows, it will flower several times a year.
