Halva cake is one of those sweets that are not served during Ramadan and are not talked about on the Iftar table.

First of all, a sponge cake is easy to make.The cake is then sweetened with syrup and has a wonderful texture. Finally, the cake is decorated with halva. To further decorate the halva cake, your hands are open and you can spend all kinds of creativity.

ingredients :

To prepare the cake:

  • Sugar = 125 grams
  • Eggs = 3 pcs
  • Rose = 2 tbsp
  • Oil = 125 ml
  • flour=150 grams
  • Cardamom powder = 1 teaspoon
  • Baking Powder = 1 teaspoon

To make cake syrup:

  • Water = 1/3 measure
  • Sugar = 200 grams
  • Honey = 1 tbsp
  • Rose = 1/4 cups

To prepare halva:

  • Butter = 150 g
  • Rice flour = 500 g
  • Oil = 1 cup
  • Water = 2.5 cups
  • Rose = 1 glass
  • Sugar = 400 g
  • Saffron mixed with hot water = 1/2 cup

Instruction :

First, set the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, then grease the cake tin and spread the greaseproof paper in the cake tin.
Mix the eggs well with the sugar in a suitable bowl and stir the sugar and egg mixture with a mixer to mix the ingredients well.
Then add liquid oil and rose water to the sugar and egg mixture.
Mix cardamom powder and baking powder with flour and sift the mixture of these ingredients. Then add the flour mixture to the rest of the ingredients and stir until the cake batter is ready.
Pour the icing into the moldĀ Place the mold in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes to bake the cake well.
During this time, prepare the syrup.
Pour the water and sugar into a suitable pot and place the pot on the gas heat until the sugar dissolves well in the water, then add the rose along with the honey to the sugar and water mixture until the cake syrup boils and thickens.
After the cake syrup has cooled, apply it on the cake with the help of a brush and place the cake in a corner so that the syrup goes well with the cake.
To make halva:
Pour the rice flour into a suitable pan Place the pan on a low flame until
the flour is slightly browned Then add oil and butter to the flour And stir the flour over a gentle heat until the raw smell of flour disappears And the color of the flour is golden.
Then put the sugar and water on the gas heat until they reach boiling point.
Add saffron and rose to the sugar mixture and allow the halva syrup to boil slightly.
Remove the flour from the heat and slowly add the halva syrup to the flour and stir the mixture regularly until the halva is smooth.
Then pour a layer of halva on the cake and with the help of a spoon, smooth the halva and cut the halva cake as desired and decorate it beautifully with pistachio or almond slices.

Instead of the halva mentioned above, you can use any kind of halva you like, such as saffron halva, carrot halva and halva, provided that it is not powdered and dried halva and syrup is used in its preparation.
It is better to make halva a little harder and thicker than usual to make the halva cake more delicious.
