Harvest of red gold from Izeh Farms in Iran
Mostafa Harmandian, the head of the agricultural Jihad of Izeh city in Iran, pointed to the beginning of harvesting of saffron in the city, said: “It is expected that more than 3 kg of golden product will be harvested per hectare of saffron crops.”
He stated that 2.5 hectares in the city of Dezz, from Izeh functions and 5.7 hectares in other parts of Izeh, cultivated saffron, stated that the beginning of the harvesting of red gold in the village of Qala-e-Dandz was started and will continue until the end of the first half of Azar .
Artists acknowledged that the saffron cultivated land in the city has not received any fertilizer or chemical fertilizer for more than 6 years, which is considered to be organic.
The leader of the agricultural Jihad, Izeh said, adding that the product of saffron is also foreign customers, adding that this product is of high quality and has a price range of 80 million to 150 million rials in the market.
He said: “The planting of saffron onion in the city of Izeh is started early October and is ready for harvest in Azar.
Mostafa Harmandian said the cultivation area of this valuable product in Izeh city has been accompanied by an increase due to the favorable climatic conditions of the area and the need for saffron to water.
He said that the use of different parts of the plant from saffron, saffron, petals, flags and cream makes it economical.
Artists point out that the planting of medicinal and industrial plants with the goal of saving water, the growth of people’s income and economic development are considered by the government and rural producers.
He acknowledged that the planting process was completed, and the red gold harvest in the area created 50 jobs directly and indirectly.
