Harvesting 16 kg of saffron per hectare
A Khomeini farmer said: “I received 16 kg of saffron per hectare with the assistance of the mobilization of the construction and receiving bank facilities for a resilient economy plan.
According to the Basij Construction Information Base, the activist of the resistance economy added: “With the help and support of Khomein’s mobilization and receiving the banking facility of the resilient economy plan, I currently work on 13,000 square meters of saffron cultivation land.
Mohsen Kazemi stated: Last year I cultivate 14/16 kg of saffron per hectare of cultivated land, which will increase by 16 kg this year.
He said: “There are 15 people per day harvesting and 20 people are working to clean it.”
This saffron of Khomeini continued: Saffron produced in the lands of this city due to the quality of land, has a very good quality, which we hope to eliminate the barriers to packaging and branding and support the authorities to export it. Kazemi said: I’ve been working on saffron cultivation for more than five years.
Kazemi said timely handling of the crop, proper irrigation, manure use, weed control and the use of experts’ opinions are among the most important reasons for success in harvesting.
He said: “There are 15 people per day harvesting and 20 people are working to clean it.”
