Harvesting more than 100 kg of saffron in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari
Horticulture director of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Agricultural Jihad Organization announced the harvest of 129 kg of saffron in the province.
Mansouri stated:
129 kg of saffron was harvested in the province this year,
which is from 43 hectares of fertile saffron cultivation area in the province.
He stated that 52 hectares of saffron cultivation area is Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and said:
of this amount, 43 hectares are fertile saffron cultivation area and 9 hectares are infertile saffron cultivation area.
Horticulture director of Jihad Agriculture Organization of the province stated:
Shahrekord and Farsan cities have the highest level of saffron cultivation in the province.
This province with an area of 16,421 square kilometers, one percent of the total area of Iran,
is the 22nd largest province in terms of size.
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province is one of the mountainous parts of the central plateau of Iran and is located at 31 degrees
and 9 minutes to 32 degrees and 38 minutes north latitude and 49 degrees and 30 minutes to 51 degrees and 26 minutes east longitude of Greenwich.
