Harvesting of saffron started from 520 hectares in Estahban Fars

The director of Estahban Fars Agricultural Jihad announced: Saffron harvest in this city starts from 520 hectares.

Ahmad Ranjbar added:
It is expected that more than 2600 kg of dry saffron will be harvested from this amount.
He continued:
Estahban fars ranks first in Fars province in terms of size and number of saffron farms and second in the country.

Ranjbar said:
In addition to the domestic market, saffron is exported to European countries, the Persian Gulf and India.

saffron is more fragrant in terms of smell and taste than saffron cultivated in Iran due to the type of soil and altitude above sea level and is valuable for this product from standard and different cultivars.
Ranjbar said: the saffron harvest, which has recently started,
has been going on for about a month (end of December). Estahban is 160 km east of Shiraz.
