Harvesting Saffron in Hamedan Province
According to the reporter of the provincial youth club of young journalists from Hamedan; Rezvani Jalal, referring to the fact that Saffron harvest started in this province, said that 60 hectares of land from Hamedan province has been caught by Saffron that is currently being harvested.
He added: “The product has started from November and will continue until the end of this month.”
Rezvani Jalal said that an average of 4 kg of saffron was harvested per hectare. It is expected that one hundred and 90 kilograms of zigzag will be taken from the province’s farms.
He pointed to the future plan for cultivating saffron and said: “We plan to increase the cultivated area of Rauta saffron 20 hectares each year.”
The governor of the province’s Jihad Province noted that the cultivation of saffron is on farms in all of the province’s provinces, but the highest level of cultivation is related to the northern city of 25 hectares under cultivation.
Referring to the fact that saffron is considered to be low-fiber products, he said: “We intend to increase the yield of this plant in the province by benefiting from the beneficial properties of this plant.”
