Increase in Saffron Production in Iran by 50% in Zarandiyeh

He pointed out that according to experts, each hectare of land will have an average net income of 50 million tomans for the farmer, adding that due to the lack of water resources in the city, farmers’ incentive to grow crops with lower water requirements, while also generating revenue This product is more of the product.
Zarandieh Agricultural Director of Agriculture further emphasized the need to pay attention to the pattern of cultivation in fields and gardens as one of the agricultural necessities, adding that the cropping of low water requirements and the cost of cultivation One of the issues that needs to be considered in order to better plan a crop pattern.
He added: Saffron is a successful example of economic production, considering the optimal conditions for planting, which can be a good alternative to dry and dry farming.
Gharibiglu said: Considering the fact that planting, harvesting and harvesting of saffron does not interfere with other agricultural operations in terms of time conditions, so it is possible to plan proper development and construction of saffron farms.
He said that during the recent years, the farmers of Zarandiyeh have welcomed this product and now about 67 thousand square meters of agricultural land has been planted.
The official said in the Zarandia Agricultural Jihad: Due to the youngity of the saffron farms in the city, the average yield per hectare is about three kilograms, taking into account the cultivated area of the city, about 20 kilograms of pure saffron were harvested this year. .
He said: Considering the trend of increasing the area under cultivation of this product, it is expected that in the current year, a significant amount of land will be allocated to the cultivation of saffron.
According to Qarab-e-Baglou, the quality of Saffron Zarandieh’s product is highly desirable and can be exported, and now more than 18 farms in the county have been allocated to saffron cultivation and have created significant employment.
