Increasing the area of saffron cultivation in Kermanshah to 1200 hectares
The head of Kermanshah Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization announced the increase of saffron cultivation area in the province
during the 3-year plan and said:
during this program, the cultivation area of this crop is supposed to reach 1200 hectares.
The head of the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization of Kermanshah province considered the activation of saffron cultivation
lands as a basis for creating employment for 200 to 300 people per day per hectare.
He stated that the area under cultivation of this product has increased by 96 hectares and said:
the area under cultivation of this product has reached 185 hectares in Kermanshah province this year.
Hatami said:
Kermanshah city with an area of 52 hectares has the first rank of saffron cultivation in the province and then Kangavar cities
with 21 hectares and Songhar and Dalahou with 20 hectares are in the next positions of the province in terms of area under saffron cultivation.
