The governor of Najafabad said:
Dehgh saffron production and surrounding villages in Mehrdasht region and in Najafabad city have announced a doubling of the national average.
Mojtaba Rai stated at the opening ceremony of the third Red Gold Festival in Najafabad, Isfahan:
This festival is an opportunity to introduce the agricultural and tourism capacities of Mehrdasht district.
He added:
Najafabad city has the first rank of honey production in the province with a capacity of 1,200 tons.
Also, the first rank in the country in the production of turkey meat with a capacity of 230 thousand pieces, First place in the production of beekeeping equipment, second place in production And the reproduction of ornamental fish and the third rank of saffron production in Isfahan province And it has a significant share in the production and employment sector of the province.
The governor of Najafabad noted:
The area under cultivation of crops and orchards is 9,000 hectares Which 120 hectares are under cultivation of saffron.
