Not welcome Iranian saffron in Europe
Mohsen Ehtesham, stating that Iranian saffron is currently exported to other countries, said: “This has led the interests of Iranian saffroners to go to other countries.”
He continued: The lack of working capital has led to the export of saffron cornfields and the end of the Iranian farmer’s efforts in the name of other countries.
Vice President of the National Saffron Council said that the cost of saffron production in Iran is high, said at present, the conditions are such that saffron production does not benefit farmers.
Ehsham pointed to paying Afghan facilities to his saffron, saying: In this country, they will lend to manufacturing units, and no installments will be received until they are withdrawn.
Vice President of the National Council of Saffron said: while in Iran, immediately after the loan is received, installment payments must begin and these policies have damaged the cultivation of saffron.
He said about the current state of saffron: Production of this product has been disturbed from previous years, one of the reasons being drought and the loss of flowers.
He said: Due to the dehydration situation, year by year, the situation is getting worse, and this year, too much of this product can not be expected.
