Order of the Minister of Industry to formulate a saffron development plan
Reza Rahmani stated in a symposium with members of the National Saffron Council: The specialized opinions of the private sector, which are based on groundbreaking approaches in the field of industry and trade, are respected and even the decision-making place of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade. The development of the country’s saffron must be formulated and presented.
Rahmani stated: Saffron is a special product produced in Iran and the National Saffron Council is in charge of preparing a comprehensive saffron development plan and in this direction should be all the effective factors including the Ministry of Silence, Chamber of Commerce, organizations, specialized associations, Industries and Mines Commission The Islamic Council, the Central Bank, Standard, stock exchanges, universities, start-ups and, of course, the officials of the provinces of Khorasan Razavi and South Khorasan should get the necessary consensus.
The Minister of Industry said: In order to solve the issues related to saffron, we will follow up the cases in the Supreme Export Council in case of submitting effective proposals.
Rahmani stated: to solve the issues related to the saffron product, there is the necessary readiness to use all the capacities and in case of cases, we will follow up in the Supreme Council of Exports.
In order to achieve the development goals of the production and trade sector, there is a serious need for bilateral cooperation between the public and private sectors.
We are willing to delegate many powers to the private sector, but this also depends on the acceptance of responsibility by the private sector.
Referring to the numerous consultations to remove banking barriers in the field of production and trade by the Ministry of Silence, he said: The cases of saffron exporters should be completely transparent and workable to achieve achievable results.
We are fully prepared to delegate the full authority of the Ministry of Silence to provincial officials, including Khorasan Razavi, and to seriously support the applicable legal decisions of the managers of these provinces.
He emphasized: in the next 3 weeks, the initial package should be compiled and presented so that the effective sections can present their opinions and the output of the submitted comments will be used to take appropriate measures regarding the saffron product. Economic actors to reform the implementation method of foreign exchange obligations of exports, producers and exporters, if they have an effective proposal, must be considered.
The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade stated: Of course, these proposals must be within a specific framework that must be accepted by the Central Bank.
Organizing the saffron market and the souvenir market are the two priorities of the Ministry of Silence, and in addition to developing the province’s trade, it also plays an effective role in the country’s trade.
