According to the correspondent of the Shiraz Journalists Club; Mahboubeh Jafari, a senior agricultural scientist after two years of research, for the first time in September this year, he planted 3 hectares of agricultural land of Firouzabad, Saffron, and after three months, he picked up 15 kg of dry saffron.
He encouraged and encouraged the farmers of Firoozabadi to cultivate saffron as the reason for this move. Firoozabad has 33,000 hectares of agricultural land, with 70 percent of the people in the city engaged in farming.
The cultivation of saffron in September begins at the beginning of each year, and its harvest is continued from mid-November to early December.
Saffron is a product that needs little water and is well-grown in warm and dry regions, and it has a high income due to good prices for farmers.
