Planting saffron in a vast area of Ardebil province
Jafar Zanjani added: “Saffron cultivation is one of the important ways to save water and produce high-value agricultural products, which can be a great alternative to more water-rich products,” the report said.
Referring to the fact that some parts of the city of Ardabil have a very large capacity to produce low-consumption products, he said farmers could grow saffron production in addition to increasing their income in Ardebil province.
Zanjani added: “The cultivation of saffron in various areas of Ardebil province has been successful and the Agricultural Jihad Province is prepared to distribute saffron scallions to the producers and farmers of the region to see the development of this product in Ardabil.
Governor of Ardebil said: “Ardabil’s agricultural lands have great potential and talents for the production of agricultural products that farmers in the region can do with science, in addition to increasing agricultural production, to plant a variety of arable crops in the region.”
He said: Farmers’ efforts to plant a variety of agricultural productive products can lead to sustainable employment in the region, followed by mass production and exports, which will lead to economic prosperity in the region as well.
