Prediction of harvesting 390 kg of saffron in Baft city
The head of Baft Agricultural Jihad predicted that 390 kilograms of saffron would be harvested in this city this year.
He said:
Due to droughts and its continuation in recent years, one of the ways to manage drought is to change the pattern of cultivation
in the agricultural sector of Baft city and for this purpose we have tried to cultivate crops with low water requirements such as saffron
and Mohammadi and also develop greenhouse cultivation Replace products with water requirements such as summer crops.
The director of Jihad Keshavarzi, stating that saffron cultivation has gained a good speed in Baft city, added:
Due to the suitable climatic conditions in this region, the saffron produced is of very good quality.
Baft is a mountainous and cold city and the center of city is in Kerman province,
which is 159 km southwest of Kerman city, with an altitude of nearly 2,300 meters above sea level, is one of the highest cities in Iran.
