Predictions about Iranian saffron exports did not materialize

The head of the Mashhad Saffron Exporters Union said:
The decrease in the exchange rate of the euro against the dollar did not fulfill our forecast price in the field of exports.

Gholamreza Miri stated:
We hope that the existing crises will be resolved by the end of the year and we will have good exports for all products, including saffron, next year.

He continued by stating that the fluctuations of the saffron market were less than last year and we gained a good position in exports:
Fortunately, with the lifting of saffron export restrictions last year,
27% export growth was created, which will be good news for our saffron.

The head of the Mashhad Saffron Exporters Union added:
In the field of saffron production, according to the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization, compared to last year,
we were faced with a 20% decrease, which was compensated despite 40 tons of crop in November last year.

Regarding the forecast of the saffron market at the beginning of the new year, he added:
Factors such as currency issues, nuclear agreement and the removal of obstacles,
support and bank holidays are very effective in boosting and improving the market situation.

Regarding the increase in prices, Miri stated:
We have no reason to increase prices and we are facing low liquidity,
because money has been returning for three months since its purchase and issuance, and the market has not yet stabilized.

Expressing hope for saffron exports, he appreciated the government’s support and said:
With the progress and growth of exports, dependence on oil exports can be reduced.
