Probability of 30% increase in saffron harvest in Khorasan Razavi

The head of the Khorasan Razavi Saffron Exporters Union announced the possibility of a 30% increase in saffron harvests this year.

Gholamreza Miri clarified in this regard: This year, due to the favorable weather conditions, a 30% increase in saffron harvest is expected to be 100 products.

He stated that the saffron market has entered a recession, he said: Usually, the saffron market is more prosperous on occasions such as Nowruz, Muharram, etc., and now the lack of occasion is one of the factors affecting the recession.
In addition, buyers no longer provide saffron for storage. Also, the decrease in pilgrims and the purchasing power of the people are other effective factors in the stagnation of the saffron market.

Referring to the stability of the export market, he noted: The amount of exports this year in the first three months was exactly the same as last year, we had 35 tons of saffron exports and $ 50 million in foreign exchange in this area.

Miri said that the price of saffron has decreased by 10%, adding: In both domestic and foreign markets, supply is more than demand.
