Production of 700 kg of saffron in Hamedan
Horticulture expert of Hamedan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization announced the production of 700 kg of saffron in this province.
Rahim Bayat stated: In the current year, 215 hectares of lands in the province were under saffron cultivation, from which 700 kg of saffron has been harvested.
Referring to the increase in saffron cultivation in Hamadan province, he clarified: Until last year, there were 161 hectares of saffron cultivation farms, which has reached 215 hectares this year.
Bayat, stating that 547 kg of saffron was produced in Hamedan province last year, continued: Malayer city with 106 hectares has the highest area of saffron cultivation in the province.
Horticulture expert of Hamedan Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization reminded: Razan with 22 hectares is the second city in terms of saffron cultivation area, followed by spring with 17.4 hectares and Kabudrahang with 16.5 hectares have the highest saffron cultivation area in Hamedan province. .
Emphasizing that the process of saffron cultivation is on the rise, he said: Although the ministry has not presented a plan for saffron cultivation in the province, saffron cultivation in this province has had an upward trend.
Bayat pointed out: Applicants for saffron cultivation in the province can benefit from receiving saffron onions and banking facilities by referring to the Jihad Agriculture Department of the cities.
