Production of saffron pills in Iran

The first Middle East saffron pill tower was launched in Birjand.

According to the Central News Unit, the factory has been constructed with an infrastructure of 700 square meters in Khusf industrial town and 4 billion rials have been spent on purchasing its machinery and equipment.

The production unit produces about 5,000,000 pounds of saffron per day each year, with products shipped to Germany, China, Malaysia, India, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

With the exploitation of the factory, 35 people were created directly by the job.

The country’s largest saffron product is produced in South Khorasan province.
