- Wheat flour = 1 full cup
- Plain biscuit powder = 1.5 to 2 cups
- Liquid oil = 1/2 cup
- Butter = 50 grams
- Coffee-Mate = 1/3 cup
- Water = half a cup
- Sugar = half a cup
- Saffron mixed with hot water = as needed
Instruction :
Step 1 – Pour the flour in a suitable pan and put it on the heat, fry it until it smells raw and turns golden or reaches your desired color.
Step 2 – Add the coffee and mix with the flour, then remove from the heat and sift the mixture.
Step 3 – Put the mixture on the heat, add the liquid oil and softened butter and mix the ingredients together to absorb the oil, then remove from the heat.
Step 4 – Add the biscuit powder and stir until the ingredients are smooth.
Step 5 – To prepare the syrup, put water and sugar on the heat to dissolve the sugar, then add the saffron and remove from the heat.
Step 6 – Pour the hot syrup little by little on the ingredients and stir until the halva reaches the desired concentration and separates from the dish.
Step 7- Pour the prepared halva in the desired dish and decorate or round as desired, roll it in biscuit powder and put it in paper capsules, or bloom.
Hints:
After the halva is ready, if the halva is loose, add a little biscuit powder and if it is firm, add some syrup.
Be careful to remove from the heat after adding the coffee and mixing, as the coffee will burn quickly.
