Miri said that the price of one kilogram of saffron is at least 5 million and 400 thousand tomans, and a maximum of 6 million and 400 thousand tomans.

He added about the export of this product: by the end of October, the export of gold from the country has increased by about 7%.

Vice President of the Saffron National Council also added: At the start of the harvest season, the price of this product was decreasing, to prevent this, the central rural cooperative organization bought saffron from agriculture.

“We hope that this will not happen, because we believe this will break the market,” said Miri, stating that the purchase was to begin on Saturday, but that did not happen yet.

Referring to the fact that the implementation of this project is possible under a condition, he stated: the central rural cooperative organization should be obliged to sell the purchased saffron with a percentage of the profit to the exporters, not to create monopoly.
