and the creation of seasonal employment and comfortable cultivation has caused more farmers to cultivate this valuable crop.
He considered saffron as the best option for cultivating a profitable crop for farmers and noted:
Due to the lack of water in recent years and the fact that the growing season of saffron plant is in autumn and winter and the main water needs
of saffron plant by rain and snow It is also supplied and does not need irrigation in summer, unlike many agricultural products,
and is a strategic plant to get rid of the water shortage crisis.
Rahmani also said that the special advantages of saffron over other agricultural products are currency value,
competitiveness compared to other cultivated products in terms of income and employment, low water consumption,
the best product to improve the cultivation pattern and a suitable alternative for summer crops and vegetables in the region.
