Saffron harvest in Ziarat village of Gorgan increased by 400%
The governor of Gorgan city, stating that the village of Ziarat is prone to cultivating high quality saffron, said:
the harvest of this product compared to last year has been associated with a significant growth of 40%.
He said that if more accurate expertise is applied in this area, we will see
a boom in saffron cultivation in the coming years in this village, adding:
One of the best ways to create rural employment is to cultivate these crops.

The cultivation area of saffron this year in the village of Ziarat is about two hectares, which includes plots of 4 to 3 thousand square meters.
The governor of Gorgan said:
considering the quality and grade of this product and the welcome of the people,
the pilgrimage lands are prone to cultivating saffron and medicinal plants.
Ziarat tourism village with the height of 1000 meters above the sea level, on the slope of a mountain,
is located in the Khaserood River valley between two mountainous and forested hillsides.
