Saffron packaging is not suitable
The head of the Alborz Chamber of Commerce said the cost of packaging is 10 percent of the cost of exported goods.
Rahim Banamulai, in an interview with Isna’s correspondent, said: Unfortunately, the packaging industry in Iran is not as necessary and perhaps not advanced, and other countries exploit this weakness.
“These countries buy their subsurface products in the form of a slash of Iranian companies, and then they are re-exported to other countries at a double price, with their packaging operations in their country, with different brands and as a product of their own country.
bana mulayi added, for example, 85 percent of the country’s export exported to the country is sold in large packages and only 15 percent are exported to other countries with appropriate packaging.
The official explained that although packaging costs 10% of the cost of exported goods, it can add up to 90%.
bana mulayi stated: adding value in the national dimension will lead to more revenue and, on the international level, also increase export value.
The president of the Alborz Chamber of Commerce said that Iranian exporters should be convinced that today packaging is not only used to protect goods, but has been defined for many roles and responsibilities.
He noted that today packaging is well known as a major marketing tool, and companies and governments benefit from increasing their competitive ability on domestic and foreign markets.
