Saffron was removed in Yasuj
The saffron of the subtropical herb which is hot and cool in places with mild winters and hot and cold summers, but this time the saffron plant has been produced and harvested in Yasuj, according to the news agency Media Center of Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad.
Iran, with annual production of more than 250 tons of saffron worth more than 625 billion tomans, is the world’s leading position in the production and trade of this product; a precious product exported to 46 countries worldwide.
This valuable plant is used in diseases including asthma, skin diseases, eyes, stomach pain, and anemia treatment.
Saffron is grown in Kohgiluyeh Boyerahmad at the level of home-grown homeowners, which has received more than one hectare of land in the province under the cultivation of saffron, and harvested about 4 kg of saffron.
The price per kg of saffron is 6 million USD.
The Yasouji family, with effort and perseverance, took over 93.2 thousand meters of agricultural land under the cultivation of saffron, and this year cultivated the plant to 5,000 meters.
This year, according to weather, 200 grams of saffron were harvested.
4 people directly and 25 were directly unemployed.
All stages of planting, taking and removing the product packaging are done by all of this family and are being marketed to the market.
