Jalali pointed out that Zanjan province has only one sponsor company to produce this red gold, said: Mahanhan saffron has a high quality and its cultivation is protected by the Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization of the province. Of course, at the moment, the amount of saffron produced by Mahan is not high and only the market provides the city and some parts of the province. However, the Agricultural Jihad conducts training classes each year to increase the cultivation of this product.

Each year, half a hectare is added to the cultivation areas of saffron in the Mahan area.
