The state of Natanz in the cultivation of saffron
Abdolreza Mehdi Badi, a member of the Media Association, said today that Natanz has the highest level of cultivation of saffron, said that measures have been taken to export it to other cities of the country.
He announced the production of saffron in Natanz and Badrud, adding that the cultivation area of this valuable product in Natanz in the past ten years has reached 50 hectares to over 220 hectares.
Director of Agricultural Jihad of Natanz, referring to the evaluations carried out by experts and receiving their excellent quality certificate, Natanz saffron said: Saffron exports are packaged by companies and in a more frozen form on the agenda.
He also announced plans for a better festival of medicinal plants and traditional medicine in Natanz, and stated that the Agricultural Jihad Department, together with its experts, will participate in the holding of classes, the introduction of medicinal plants and the training and promotion of the planting of medicinal plants. Mahdi-Badi added: The Deputy Minister of Jihad-e-Agriculture, herbal medicine experts, national herbs experts and herbal medicine team will be invited to evaluate the city of Natanz and present a roadmap for the production of herbs.
He also held special workshops for experts and the public, including those related to the activities of the Agricultural Jihad Department at the Festival of Medicinal Plants, and added: “The workshops will discuss the opportunities of medicinal plants and the ways of cultivation and work.”
Director of Agricultural Jihad of Natanz said there are about 600 different types of medicinal plants in Natanz and in different regions where 20 types of medicinal plants are commercially available in Natanz.
