The cultivation of 15 hectares of Iranian saffron in Qom province

He added that the current traditional methods used for the production and , are all outdated and the amount of production is not cost-responsive, thus, with the modernization and application of modern methods of production per unit area increased and produces economical and quality products.
Golden said in his speeches on the goals of cultivating saffron cultivation in the province and pointed out: “The main goal of cultivating saffron cultivation is to change the crop pattern due to the limited need of saffron, especially in low water areas.
The head of Jihad-e-Agriculture Organization of Qom Province in Iran said creation of employment and income for farmers was another goal of cultivating saffron cultivation in the province and pointed out that saffron production as a valuable product in addition to various domestic uses leads to valorisation.
Golden is said to be able to cultivate saffron in small areas where it is not possible to cultivate other products due to the lack of machinery.
