The most saffron city in Iran and the world hosts foreign tourism tours
During the saffron harvest season, 14 domestic and foreign tourist tours travel to this region from Torbat Heydariyeh farms.
Ali Mohammadi stated: In addition to visiting saffron farms and getting acquainted with the process of collecting and cleaning flowers, these tourists also get acquainted with different types of saffron drinks in Torbat Heydariyeh from the largest flower market in the country, saffron research and saffron processing stages.
He added: According to this and last week, an Australian couple traveled to this city in the south of Khorasan Razavi with the aim of seeing saffron farms, handicrafts and historical monuments of Torbat Heydariyeh.
So far, out of a total of 250 historical and tourism monuments identified in Torbat-e Heydarieh, 48 historical buildings and sites and two spiritual and intangible monuments have been registered in the list of national monuments.
Eight thousand and 500 hectares out of a total of 82 thousand hectares of saffron farms in Khorasan Razavi are located in Torbat Heydariyeh and 12 thousand hectares are in Zaveh city.
