Mohammad Baqer Jahedi added: Simultaneously with the beginning of saffron harvesting and processing, the implementation of this project by the supervisors of this organization in Gonabad and simultaneously in 17 saffron-rich cities of Khorasan Razavi and South Khorasan, in order to improve the quality and quantity of saffron farms by forming a network of rural saffron farmers. it has begun.
Fatemeh Gavahi Kakhki, director of the Red Gold Operators Network in Gonabad, also stated: UN observers have started specialized training activities in Kakhk, Sano and Zebd by setting up an office at the Kakhk Saffron Training, Processing and Packaging Office and forming a saffron network. Is.
He added: Soon, the standard saffron dryer will be installed and commissioned by UNIDO experts on the site of this network.
He continued: In Gonabad city, there are about 3500 hectares of saffron farms with a production capacity of more than 14 tons of dry saffron. During the harvest season from November 1 to mid-December, about 12,000 households are engaged in collecting and processing this important product.
