He added: For this purpose, the launch of the World Saffron Organization (OSEC), which is modeled on OPEC, with the aim of supporting all saffron industry activists from farmers and producers to exporters and large traders, as well as countries active in this field with emphasis on reference. In the production of this strategic product, Iran has been proposed as a new idea in this field by an activist in the field of saffron production and export in Khorasan Razavi.
The designer of the World Saffron Production and Export Organization (OSEC) said: At present, the largest and most equipped saffron warehouses in the country, the largest saffron specialized hall, the first and most specialized saffron museum, the first specialized saffron library, the first saffron dialogue forum and the first specialized agricultural equipment store Saffron is especially active in Torbat-e Heydarieh.
Mostafavi added: In order to improve production, in addition to the activities of the most equipped specialized saffron laboratories according to new standards, we have invented the first saffron onion sorting machine in the country, which increases production efficiency up to three times.
He specified: In this way, by planting saffron onions by this machine, more than 10 kg of crop is harvested per hectare, while currently the average harvest of this crop in the country is three kilos and 80 grams per hectare.

Referring to the OSEC launch plan, he said: In order to better manage the production and export and solve the problem of bulk saffron sales, a global organization like OPEC should be set up to increase Iran’s share of world saffron trade with this event.
Emphasizing that Iran should be responsible for this due to its share in saffron production, the spokesman of the Economic Commission of the Majles said: Saffron is a product that is produced by farmers with great effort and the need to improve trends in production, marketing and sales in domestic markets and Has a foreign.
Hosseini Shahroudi added: In the meantime, the entry of saffron into the commodity exchange has been a positive step in the direction of reforming these trends, which with the launch of the International Organization of OSEC provides the ground for introducing Iranian saffron to the world and the price authority of the Iranian stock exchange.
He added: With the formation of OSEC, in addition to farmers, consumers and exporters getting their basic rights, we will see the standardization of this product and the growth of saffron exchange rate.
